Your Block Paving is thoroughly prepared with our specialist equipment and all debris is cautiously removed from between your block paving joints.
• Part of the sand is cleared from the joints to remove weed, seeds and algal spores.
• Sand forms an integral part of the structure of block paving, so sterilised kiln dried sand is carefully applied to every joint.
• This increases the friction of the surfaces and helps to distribute the load placed upon it—to help reduce further deterioration.
• A protective coating designed by Resiblock for specific use on concrete block paving is applied to the surface and the sand joints, in a 2 stage application.
And the results?
• The sealed surface shrugs off stains and oil and protects the blocks from wear, therefore extending the life of your expensive paving.
• The new resin surface inhibits weed regrowth, frost damage and imparts a low slip finish.
• The natural colours of the paving are enhanced and UV shields within the protective coating reduce further colour fade.
• Rollering the protective coating into the sand joints stabilises the sand structure, helping to prevent it washing out and protecting the structural sub base from erosion.
• The finished surface carries an attractive decorative (but not slippery) sheen.
